old friends

by neonmeatdreams @ 2007-12-27 - 13:20:10

This xmas eve I met up with some old school friends at the local pub. Me and this girl hit it off, we'd always liked each other(since going to secondary school together) but nothing had ever really happened.
Anyway we're meeting this monday but as I've got a girlfriend I feel like a bit of a bastard. Should I tell this girl to forget it?
I do really like my girlfriend alot but this girl is moving to leeds in a couple of months and i don't know when Ill see her again.
I say to myself that we're just going to be friends but I know in the back of my mind Im probably hoping for something else.

Hmmm...?

You know what is the right thing to do....

If you liked your girlfiend 'a lot' as you say then would you even be thinking these things about someone else?

Also, there is the fact that if the new girl knows there may be a chance that you may cheat on your current girlfriend with her, then you arent an example of good boyfriend material really...who wants to go out with a cheater?

True. I think you're speaking sense. I do like her alot its just that I find myself attracted to other women. I've never done anything about it before this though. I'll probably call off meeting this other girl I think I could do with the guilt!

Take a chance...being temporarily incapacitated by illness has reinvigorated my zest for life...or maybe it's just clouded my judgement...either way, I say meet the girl...grapple with guilt when it knocks on your door.

Yeah I met her last night.
(Un?)Fortunately I have nothing to be guilty about...so far.
